One of the reasons I left my previous company was because I had no time to do the things I loved! You have probably already made the assumption that I go to the gym. In recent years my free time has become increasingly scarce. I have had to work 6-7 days a week 12 hours a day on most occasions. I stopped going to the gym, I stopped spending as much time with my wife, and I had no time to spend with my cat anymore. Every morning my cat would sit in front of the door crying for me to come back, and every day my wife would patiently wait for me to come home while she re-assured herself that it will all be worth it some day. Unfortunately as each year passed not much changed. Sure money was coming in, however what’s the point of money without time or happiness. It got to the point where a change needed to be made. I needed to do something different, because if I didn’t make a change in my life, then my life would continue to be unhappy. I decided to start a company on my own, no employees, just myself. It was the most terrifying thing I have done, but slowly as customers start increasing and as time passes, I have noticed that I’m starting to get my time back. I’m starting to be happier, I’m getting back into the gym. I get to spend more time with my wife and have romantic Olive Garden dates in the back of The Better Van where we set up chairs and a tables behind the van and play music. I get to spend time with my cat now, she loves cat nip scented plush bags. The past week she has constantly been putting her tail on me. I can tell she is happier too. This new journey in my life is nerve racking, however I wouldn’t change a thing. I want everyone to realize that money can be made, work will always be there, but your time is something you can never make. Spend more time with your loved ones and doing the things you love.
